Artist's Comments
These clouds were painted from reference found at WetCanvas.com. This was pretty much just a little thing done to get some practise with clouds and colour but of course then I had to throw in a dragon.
After the dragon, it went a little downhill composition wise because I had her in the centre for no apparent reason. To try and counter this I cropped and extended the canvas as well as adding in some silly swirls and text. I'm still not sure if I like that or not. But I'm happy enough with this to post it here in my main gallery. Edit 25/03/2009: Resized and painted over some of this in the hope of being able to make some good prints of it. If I've done it right you shouldn't be able to pick out the differences. CommentsThat is so pretty!
You always do such a fantastic job with the wing membranes in your dragons. -- Now the movie's turned into a play. Still good, though. Adopted by =fma-addict! Epic icon by *Heilos Oo Cryslara, I'm in love, this is so lovely. I would so commission a piece just like this (ok a tiny bit different but still.) I love how the text and swirls any chance you are going to be making this wallpaper sized?

Critiques
The only little critique - which is more my personal idea - is the perspective. I mean he could do a loop and I could see him like this, but when I could see more of his belly, it may look more natural (?)
Love esp. the color and light/shadow!
I also enjoy the little stars, but I am not sure, if you could really see them with the bright light in the clouds. The bottom clouds are especially nice done, just magnific! The left top clouds are convincilbe, too, but I think a little more blending would be fine, too
Anyway just some ideas, it is a great work!
