When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Artist's Comments
This is the product of music induced stress sketching. I made the tail first and continued to sketch, but then found that I couldn't make the body work at all. So it was wiped out with my trusty eraser. But I still loved the tail, so it stayed, and was given a new body. The arms still bother me a bit but I love that thigh. It may not even be anatomically correct (yay for random muscle creation), but I still really like it.
The music that inspired this was "Into the Depths" by Ken Davis. It's very beautiful and peaceful music. Comments
This is an amazing design. I especially love all the muscle details in the body of the creature. The picture also gives me the feel that we are very, VERY out to sea, and that's really amazing that you can protray that so well. I would give you some critique but there really isn't anything I can see that I don't like. Beautiful.
-- "If you have to tell someone you are something, you're probably not..." that's a Kelpie correct? I may be pulling this out of the blue but that looks like a Kelpie to me, the Cecltic seahorse creature that lures people to the water to drown them . . .
-- "there is a sole survivor, and he his miraculously unharmed" taken from the movie "Unbreakable" "do your very best not to scream" taken from the movie "The Village" I really love this drawing. The attention to detail is awsome. Especially with the muscles and stuff. Very Cool!
-- If you think you're too small to be effective, you've clearly never been in the dark with a misquito My myspace page! This critter's a beaut.. I don't think you should worry about the musculature at all, it looks real, and sort of half blubbery, just like you'd expect slim sea-creature to look. And I dunno about you but I love the forelegs, the way they're angled back against the momentum of the loop. Don't worry about that either, I think you did great!
