The unattainable desire to fly, the desire to improve ourselves by imitating the birds, is both absurd and beautiful.
Dreams are ridiculous yet precious; in chasing hopes we create amazing things. Part of my HSC Major work for Visual Arts. This guy is based on the Black Swan. For the work submitted for marking I removed the paper notes that are attached to the matte board. This is the third of three charcoal pieces. I love charcoal. The reds and whites in this are from artist's chalks which are almost as fun. Materials: Charcoal, Cream matte board, artist's chalks, tiny bits of acrylic paint, feathers, dried flower Size: With black matting around the edges, 70x85cm (I apologise for the dodgy quality - these things are massive and my photography of art leaves much to be desired.)  |
